Grandma & Grandpa Newsletter

September 3, 2006
This weekend we enjoyed a gathering of the Wilburn James Brown siblings and spouses to celebrate the return of Bob and Donna from their mission to Spain. On Saturday we got together for a picnic at a really nice park in Highland, near Bob and Donnas home. We had Roger and Earlenes entire posterity, several from Bobs family, Leisel and her children, Aunt Bessie, Harold and Nora and all but Marion, of the living children of Earl and Maggie Brown and their spouses. Following the picnic the siblings and wives met at Bob and Donnas for a lovely dinner and than visited until about midnight.

Sunday everyone went to an early Sacrament meeting and then met at Bill and Jeannettes for a casual lunch and a kind of family business meeting that ended with a very casual snack around 7:00 PM.

It was really good to get up to date on all of the family members and strengthen our family bonds once again.

Bob and Donna are just returned from their Full Time Mission to Spain and are living in their home in Cedar Hills. Just getting settled back into "civilian life."

Bill and Jeannette are still getting used to retirement and enjoying their condominium living in American Fork, They are working in the Mount Timpanogos Temple one day a week and serving in the Ward.

Barry and Linda are still living in the same home in Orem and have Starr and her children living with them at the present time. Barry continues his construction business with his son Ladd and Linda works part time at the MTC.

Marion is still in Madison, Wisconsin as far as we know. No one has been in communication with him since just after mothers passing. We are all very concerned about his welfare but find it very difficult to communicate with him.

Murr and Cheryl are living in Apache Junction, Arizona where Murr is employed in the Financial Planning industry and Cheryl is teaching school in Mesa. They have purchased property and are having a home built in Queen Creek, Arizona.

Mike and Maurine are still living in Gilbert, Arizona but have purchased a lot in Queen Creek, Arizona and are in the process of putting their home up for sale and building on the Queen Creek lot.

Roger and Earlene have been back in Chubbuck, Idaho for about one year following a three year experience with the Church Education Department in the San Francisco area. They are retired and still in the process of remodeling their home in Chubbuck and raising bees.

Life Is Good
